With the purpose of enriching our connection with God, we, Grade 9B students went on a spiritual retreat to Saint Rafqa’s convent in Jrebta on Wednesday October 16, 2019.

Upon our arrival, we first visited the tomb of Saint Rafqa where a kind nun gave us a well-detailed and coherent explanation of Saint Rafqa’s life and some of her important miracles. Afterwards, we visited the museum that exhibited the Saint’s sacred belongings. We were also allocated a certain time afterwards in which we admired the sacred grounds of the convent. Then, we gathered up in the chapel where our spiritual counselor, discussed many aspects of life, and related them to Saint Rafqa’s experience. To wrap us this significant spiritual day, we celebrated a mass in the convent’s church, glorified Saint Rafqa, and raised our prayers to the Lord.
