On Wednesday, February 19, 2020, my class, 8D, went to Bsalim with our supervisor to visit St. Charbel Church and help the elderly people with their lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by one of the employees who escorted us to the church. Fr. Tony Lattouf, our chaplain, told us about the history of the place and shared the day's schedule.
After the briefing, we took a break and had our lunch. Later, we went back to church to spend some time in prayer. Then we joined the elderly in the dining room during their lunch time. They greeted us full-heartedly. We performed some dances for around fifteen minutes and helped in serving the food. We had the chance to join them for the meal as well. It was a truly amazing experience to be able to bring some joy to the hearts of lonely people.
