“And we count days every day. We use number words, numerals, and counting sticks. Today we made our first bundle of 100.That’s big for us.”
Amy Wilson
Implementing their skills through different activities, our Grade 1 students participated in our annual “100 times smarter” Math fun activity day.
They created and decorated their own 100 times smarter star, tested their writing skills, and participated in a speed challenge test to inspire their critical thinking skills by building a tower using 100 cups. In the Computer Lab, our students were asked to type from 0 till 100 using colorful patterns and colors. In addition, they used foam boards and shapes to model the number 100, skip count by 5 till 100 by tracing their hands-on cardboards, and finally joined a speed race in the outdoor playground.
A well-deserved “100 times smarter” Math fun activity day.
