SJS aims to prepare students for a changing world by instilling in them critical thinking skills and respect of others within a global context. Since Robotics teaches how to solve problems and think critically, these skills are essential for children who want to pursue careers in science and technology. For the purpose, SJS added Robotics in its ICT curriculum, and gave chance for more advanced learning through a club it launched since 2017-2018 as extra-curricular activity. To give better chance for students to excel in a global context, SJS students have participated 3 times in the WRO (World Robot Olympiad) on the national level, and every time, one of the joining groups has won in the respected category competing in, giving chance to the students to join the International WRO Competition.
This year, and under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, organized by MindPower STEM Consultancy on the national level, and sponsored by Livv Homes, our Saint Joseph School students represented Lebanon for the RoboMission Senior Category in the WRO 2022 International Competition that was hosted in Dortmund, Germany.
