We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding musical achievement of our talented student, Elaria Alam, 1SB, who won First Place in the Senior Category and the Grand Prize at the Sounds of Poland Beirut Violin Competition, held on October 4, 2026.

Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut, Beirut Chants El Sistema Orchestra and Choir, and Beit Tabaris, representing Jeunesses Musicales de Liban, the competition brought together young violinists from across Lebanon. Following an online application process launched in August, only 15 contestants, aged 9 to 17, were selected to participate in the competition's Junior and Senior categories.

The contestants performed before a distinguished jury comprising acclaimed Polish violinist Mr. Szymon Telecki, alongside two of Lebanon's renowned violinists, teachers, and musicians, Mr. Ramzi Kandalaft and Mr. Mario Rahi.

Elaria impressed the jury with two challenging and expressive performances: Premier Solo by Charles Dancla and Chanson Polonaise by Henryk Wieniawski. These performances reflected months of dedicated practice, perseverance, and a genuine passion for music, culminating in an exceptional double achievement: first place in the Senior Category and the competition's prestigious Grand Prize.

This remarkable accomplishment opens the door to an exciting international musical experience. As the recipient of the Grand Prize, Elaria will travel to Poland in March to perform as a soloist with the distinguished Orkiestra Kameralna Aleksandria, taking part in a series of concerts and musical events.

We are immensely proud of Elaria’s dedication, talent, and determination. This achievement is a testament to the power of hard work and the pursuit of excellence, as well as the importance of nurturing young talent and encouraging artistic expression.

Congratulations on this outstanding success! We look forward to following Elaria’s musical journey and wish her every success as she prepares to represent her talent on the international stage in Poland.
