The Secondary School Division at Saint Joseph School (SJS) held its annual Leadership Day on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Renewal of the Holy Spirit Association – Kobeize Center, Antelias.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Whatever You Do, Do It from the Heart,” the day brought together the Student Council 2026–2027 members, the “Dimensions” Yearbook Team, and the “Vision” Magazine Team for a day of reflection, collaboration, and leadership development.

The day began with a Holy Mass celebrated by the SS Spiritual Counselor, Fr. Fadi Najem, in the presence of the SS Principal, Fr. Maroun Chamoun, reinforcing the spiritual values that guide students in their leadership roles and throughout their personal journeys.

The program continued with an engaging plenary session led by Mrs. Samar Azzi Rahme, who guided students through an interactive workshop exploring the 8Cs of Self—Curiosity, Calmness, Clarity, Compassion, Confidence, Courage, Creativity, and Connectedness—and the Wheel of Emotions. The session encouraged students to develop greater self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills, empowering them to become positive role models and servant leaders within the Secondary School community.

Following the workshop, SS Principal Fr. Maroun Chamoun delivered a brief yet insightful address, highlighting the importance of leading with purpose, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to serving others.

The following sessions were tailored to each team's responsibilities and objectives for the academic year:

  • Vision Magazine Team: Members met with Fr. Maroun Chamoun, Mrs. Ghada Jalkh, SS Assistant Principal, and Mrs. Hiba Moujaes to reflect on the purpose of the publication, define their roles, and establish a shared vision and goals for the year ahead.
  • Student Council: Members met with Miss Mary Nawfal, SS Student Affairs Office Director, and Miss Joëlle Kanaan to outline their leadership strategy, establish guidelines for the academic year, and begin planning upcoming events, initiatives, and projects aimed at serving the student body.
  • Dimensions Yearbook Team: Members worked with their coordinator, Mrs. Paula Semaan, to organize responsibilities, establish production timelines, and coordinate their efforts toward creating a yearbook that captures the highlights and memorable moments of the academic year.

The day concluded with a closing session led by Fr. Maroun Chamoun, bringing together the reflections and discussions of the day and reinforcing a shared commitment to purposeful leadership, teamwork, and service.

Leadership Day 2026–2027 reminded students that true leadership goes beyond holding a title. It is about leading with compassion, serving with dedication, collaborating with respect, and approaching every responsibility with sincerity and love.
