On Thursday, October 29, 2026, Saint Joseph School hosted the leadership team from the Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD / المركز التربوي للبحوث والإنماء), led by President Professor Hyam Ishak, alongside a panel of CERD professionals who presented the framework of the new national curriculum and led engaging discussions with the school community.
Following an inspiring plenary session led by Rector Msgr. Chady Bou Habib and Dr. Nancy Timonian, faculty and staff engaged in targeted, division-specific workshops designed to unpack the core pillars of the reform while enhancing essential soft skills:
· Central Administration: Explored administrative governance and relationship-building in dynamic sessions led by Dr. Chady Rahme and Mrs. Samar Azzi.
· Academic Divisions: Staff members across Preschool, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, Middle School, and Secondary levels participated in specialized breakout sessions focusing on the new educational ladder, implementation timelines, historical context of curriculum milestones, and competency-based learning led by CERD specialists including Professor Hyam Ishac, Dr. Akram Sabek, Dr. Micheline Aoun, Dr. Samer Seif Eddine, and Mrs. Rana Abdallah. Faculty then gathered for division-level workshops tailored to their specific grade levels and departmental objectives.
· School supervisors refined their administrative and leadership attributes under the guidance of Mrs. Mona Doueiry.
