The SJS SS Model United Nations (MUN) Delegation, at this year’s Lebanese American University (LAU) – Leadership Simulation program, represented Japan as a country and won several awards. Following this remarkable representation, the Japanese Ambassador, H.E. Masayuki Magoshi, invited the SJS SS MUN delegates to his house on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

The visit began by having the delegates introduce themselves, the committees they represented, their role per committee, and finally shared their reflections about the full experience. Throughout the visit, the delegates discussed various global topics and issues with His Excellency.

Not enough words can express how enjoyable this experience was. The ambassador’s kindness, humility, and respect were inspiring. He gave the delegates a fascinating look at the Japanese culture, while also discussing important issues needing solutions through sharing a part of his vision for Japan’s future.

His love for Lebanon is truly heartwarming. Through the direct questions that he asked the delegates, His Excellency was challenging them to brainstorm ideas for their nation’s bright future.

The experience left a lasting mark on everyone, a true testament.
