On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, Saint Joseph School's Secondary School Division, in collaboration with the Alumni Association, successfully hosted its annual Career Fair! This significant event brought together accomplished SJS alumni and friends, professionals from a diverse range of fields, to share their invaluable experiences and insights with our 1st, 2nd Secondary, and IBDP1 students.
The day was filled with opportunities for exploration and connection. The fair unfolded in a dynamic format designed to engage students effectively:
- Focused Sessions: Prior to the event, students selected career areas of interest. In the initial assigned sessions, they had the chance to delve deeply into these specific fields, interacting directly with representatives who excel in those areas.
- Networking Opportunities: During the break, students and professionals mingled in the Secondary School playground. This provided a relaxed environment that fostered open discussions and informal connections.
- Expanded Exploration: Following the break, students participated in additional focused sessions, allowing them to broaden their perspectives and learn about other potential career possibilities.
- Flexible Discovery: The final segment featured walk-in sessions. Students were able to visit different presenters, asking questions about various careers they hadn't explored in the focused sessions, thereby maximizing their learning opportunities throughout the day.
This engaging event proved to be a tremendous asset for our students. It delivered valuable early exposure to a wide array of professions, offering insights that can significantly help students begin to chart their academic and professional paths.
