Vintage 2025 extended over three unforgettable days celebrating creativity, talent, and school spirit, bringing together students, parents, staff, alumni, and friends. The festivities began on Friday, May 30, with an amazing Opening Ceremony on the Archbishop Camille Zaidan Green Field, setting the tone for the weekend ahead. As the sun set, the campus transformed into a lively festival space, with a bustling food court and exciting games. Later that evening, the Drama Club transported the audience into the world of “The West Side”, captivating the crowd with a powerful performance at the Saint Joseph Theatre.
On Saturday, May 31, the school grounds became a living museum of student achievement, as classrooms, playgrounds, and labs hosted a wide array of exhibitions and interactive events. The energy on campus was intense as academic departments and student clubs opened their doors to show the year’s most creative and innovative projects. The Science and Math departments featured everything from hands-on experiments to project displays and subject-specific competitions. The languages came alive with storytelling, spelling bees, theatrical recitations, and reading challenges in Arabic, English, and French. Music and art played a key role as well, with the auditorium hosting musical shows and talent performances, and the Art and Craft Fair adding a colorful dimension to the celebration.
Beyond academics, the spirit of community and extracurricular engagement was on full display. The Scouts organized fun outdoor games, while clubs such as INJAZ, the Diplomacy Club, and the Environment Club welcomed visitors to explore their work and achievements. Parents and alumni played a major role in the weekend’s success, with the SJS Parents’ Association hosting a Coffee Lounge and competitions, and the Alumni Association gathering graduates for an evening of quiz games, karaoke, and rooftop fun, not to forget the Backgammon Competition in association with both. Saturday night wrapped up with the MS Talent Show followed by high-energy sounds of the Iron Baden Scouts Band, leaving the crowd energized and smiling.
The final day of the Vintage, Sunday, June 1, continued the momentum with a rich program of events. Science projects, literary stations, and social sciences activities highlighted student engagement with global and local issues. The Environment Club impressed visitors with a display of their year’s initiatives. Language and math competitions continued, and the English department’s “Express Yourself” event gave SS students a powerful platform to share their voices. The alumni hosted a Backgammon Tournament and, later in the evening, a relaxed Board Games Night accompanied by lounge music on the rooftop. The Tombola Draw brought excitement and anticipation to the food court. As the evening drew to a close, the community gathered one final time for the Student of the Year ceremony, a heartwarming tribute to excellence, leadership, and personal growth. The closing marked the end of a remarkable weekend that embodied the spirit of SJS, a celebration of learning, talent, joy, and togetherness.
