Energy, color, and laughter filled the air at the SJS Secondary School (SS) Division on Saturday, October 25, 2025, as students, teachers, and staff gathered to celebrate the annual SS Field Day 2025.

The event was not merely a pause from the academic routine; it was a day where formality gave way to familiarity. Moving past the typical classroom dynamic, the gathering brought students and teachers onto the same field, where teamwork, laughter, and connection took the lead. Beyond the competitions and games, this day serves as a reminder that change often begins with the simplest ways.

As part of this Jubilee Year, the celebration reflected the call to become true signs of hope. The highlight of the event had been manifested through the four Jubilee mascots: Luce, Xin, Fe, and Sky, who brought the school’s virtues to life through color, symbolism, and spirit. Each mascot represents a specific element; Luce, symbolized by yellow, embodies light and the guidance of faith carried by the teachers. Sky, represented by blue, reflected creativity and self-expression through the 3S & IBDP2 students. Xin, symbolized by green, represented the heart of love and kindness worn by the 2S students. Fe, brought to life in red holding the Bible, embodied the strength of faith and courage represented by the 1S students who received the Bible this year. Everyone’s joyful presence united the crowd in energy, purpose, and color, turning the field into a vibrant reflection of the SJS spirit.

Under the blessing of Msgr. Chady Bou Habib, the School Rector, the day began with an opening ceremony at the school theater, featuring artistic performances and a spiritual segment. This was followed by the investiture ceremony led by Msgr. Chady Bou Habib, during which the newly elected Student Council were officially entrusted with their responsibilities under the motto “Lead by Doing, Change by Becoming.”
Following this, School Rector Msgr. Chady Bou Habib addressed the students with inspiring words, and the Secondary School Principal Fr. Maroun Chamoun gave a word and directives about the day’s program.

Afterwards, students participated in numerous athletic and recreational activities, beginning with the traditional Teachers vs. Students Volleyball Game. The day continued with various competitions, artistic live performances and games, including a Live Musical Performance, Live Painting Performance, Chess Tournament, Book hunt, Jenga, Pictionary, Football, Basketball, Frisbee, Table Tennis, and the popular “Strongest Student” challenge. Additional excitement was brought by a mini food court organized by the 2026 Prom Committee and a lively performance by the SS Dance Club.

The Field Day concluded back in the theater with a musical intervention and the awards distribution, celebrating teamwork and outstanding participation. The day served as a powerful expression of the community's commitment to hope and positive change.
