This year, Saint Joseph School - Cornet Chahwan added AI to its curriculum. As a first project, the 2S, 3S, IB DP1 and IBDP2 students prepared and launched ambitious and inspiring AI Startup Businesses, giving students the opportunity to imagine, design, and build their own AI-powered solutions. Students embarked on a creative journey where their ideas transformed into real prototypes, digital products, and compelling startup pitches. Throughout the program, students explored how Artificial Intelligence can be used to solve everyday problems. They created websites, demos, mobile app concepts, video prototypes, and even 3D models, showing an impressive level of innovation and dedication. What began as simple ideas quickly grew into structured startup concepts backed by research, storytelling, and teamwork.
Over five Pitch Days, and in the presence of jury members Mr. Rabih Chehade (Founder of Slangit AI Company), Mrs. Gisele Yammine Karaa (IT Manager), and Mrs. Sabine Abou Sleiman (AI Teacher), all groups presented their projects with remarkable clarity and confidence. Their ability to identify a real problem, propose an AI-based solution, and communicate it through a professional pitch reflected true maturity and creativity. Several presentations were deeply moving and left a lasting impact on the audience.
Beyond technical learning, the program highlighted skills we cherish at SJS: teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and forward-thinking innovation. Students learned how to collaborate effectively, distribute roles, rehearse with purpose, and build confidence on stage—essential skills for the future they are preparing to enter.
Out of the 87 projects presented, many were recognized for their strong potential under the following opportunities:
· Paid internship offered to 2 groups
· Support with trading items on an e-commerce platform for 8 groups
· Follow-up contact to further develop the project idea for 1 group
· Advisory follow-up for 12 groups
· A free AI assistant for one year offered to 1 group
· Investment opportunity offered to 1 group
The achievements of our students reflect a new chapter for the school, one where learners are not only using technology, but shaping it, imagining it, and building the tools of tomorrow. Congratulations to all our young innovators.
Your work was inspiring, meaningful, and truly exceptional, and it marks only the beginning of what you are capable of achieving.
